PlayStation 5's latest firmware beta adds Dolby Atmos and 8TB SSD support

only reason I never bothered with PS5 was because it lacked Dolby Atmos. Took them long enough. Its been available on the Xbox One since the start.

I may get one at a much later stage if there is something worth having, but atm i see no need as everything is coming to PC anyway least atm.

My TV has all them bells and whistles even thought about getting a newer surround sound to take better advantage of Atmos since everything needs to support that for it to make any difference, doubt i'd be able to get it as cheap as what i did the one i have, even looked into bluray players a decent budget one is like £130 but with Atmos etc make that £350

Dolby Atmos is nice, I have the application bought through the Microsoft Windows 11 Store and it really does make a nice difference in games.

Wait till you pump it through proper dolby atmos surround instead of the headphones.

God of War was like being inside a movie theater.

Having a atoms 7.1 setup i can attest to that 100%, when i play game using it everyone of my neighbors also listens to me playing or watching a movie
