Always nice to see prices coming down. Maybe Sony's lack of big name exclusives leading up to xmas has prompted this? Xbox has Halo and Tomb Raider (there still seems to be uncertainty regarding the nature of the Tomb Raider exclusive - timed or not). Or maybe Sony has some No Mans Sky news for us soon? I'm not feeling it for this year though, but can hope.

That is exactly the reason why. Not to mention that Xbox is rumoured to drop their prices also soon. After all, Xmas is coming and Xbox has quite a number of exclusive titles on its way. Couple this with their xbox/PC game streaming,
I also noticed that Sony has reached out to a vendor to design their own version of Microsofts Kinect technology. But one major perk in their roadmap is the Sony VR coming soon.

Yeah Sony VR is going to be interesting and I wonder if No Mans Sky is being timed for release with it as a mutual promotion. I do wonder how well NMS will benefit from a HOTAS setup on PC - this will probably determine whether I go PS4 or PC on this one. I'm excited about Microsofts Hololens too, it would be cool to have a Hololens with your HUD on it. Lots of new toys for next year
I really dont care about the PS4 2 years after it launched. I have owned the PS1, 2 and 3 and there is not a single game on the system that I care about that I cant get on the PC.
Also I cant stand the noisy tiny fans on the system when it heats up.
This is one Gen I will avoid (unless Red Dead Redemption 2 is a console exclusive)
Heyyo, Lol remember back in March when Sony jacked the price up by $50 in Canada from $399.99 to $449.99 ( http://www.torontosun.com/2014/03/14/sonys-playstation-4-going-up-50 )... and the price drop is now to $429.99 CAD... so it's still higher than the original release price here in Canada... so... does Sony think the average consumer in Canada is stupid or what eh?
Lol quote from the blog...
"Our goal at PlayStation has always been to provide the best gameplay experiences at the best value, and we feel this new compelling price will open the doors to even more gamers that have yet to purchase a system."
Yeah... Sony thinks we live in ingloos, eat apple pie and maple syrup for breakfast and use huskey dog sleighs to get to and from work (which is chopping wood) where we eat poutine for lunch and spend our time after work playing hockey and curling before retiring to the couch to play their overpriced PS4 eh?
