PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds will soon prioritise ping during matchmaking

I'm getting so fed up with the cheaters, it's not really mattering to me at this point. Played 4 rounds the other night, and 3 of those were top 5 finishes killed by someone cheating.

It's not questionable cheating either. I have been shot by someone just aiming in the tree line with no visual sight. One guy had his cross hair 2 inches off my character, and the bullets hit head shots every time. The more they patch for cheats, the worse it gets. We had one cheater that before the first circle shrunk, he had only 16 people left on the map. I was in a 3 man crew and it got down to just the 4 of us at the end. :(

So he literally just shot into nowhere and yet somehow got headshots? Without even shooting AT a player/soldier/character?...

If you look closer you can see he knows precisely where the other players are he doesn't need to actually see you as the aim assist hes using does the rest even through the scenery he can head shot you. We come across this way too often, between this and bad network sync or "ping abusers" it has become a rage inducing waste of time.

I played it when it was new. And I thought it was an awsome game. A shame that cheaters have kind of ruined the game...

I have not played since it was in Beta and early access and I am being put off with all the talks about cheaters and more cheaters.

It got 10x worse after they applied their anti-cheat measures, I agree with you though when it was early access and new on the scene it was an epic game which even though it had it's minor flaws could still be forgiven. Now though it's just a train wreck, how they've gone from epic to dog turd so fast is astonishing.

It was always a train wreck. It was very popular train wreck. They just rode the hype. And they were overshouted by YT community, and many YTubers. If you look at it objectively the game is horse #&@! It is not optimized at all. Graphics are disaster for requirements. Poor security implementations, and the list goes on, and on... Yes it is good fun, and different than what you usually play, but it needs a serious ironing out.

I wish a competent company made a battle royale game with realistic environments and weaponry since Fortnite's cartoony style is a huge turn-off for many players.

Hell, the ArmA3 Battle Royale mod plays better than PUBG, since there a game designer like Playerunknown wasn't in charge of technical decisions.
