and we have never had traffic shaping before pipex and have had no notice from pipex that they have applied it so if they have added it its breaking the contract
this is the best its been in the last coupla days........i was down to 100kbps....
nildram say everything is "fine"
ive had 2 BT engineers out, both say my line can support at least 6mbps with NO hassles.
ive got my router in my master socket......the works.
they expect me to waste a whole day doing speed tests, pings, traceroutes.........THEN they want me to wait 72 hours for my profile to reset, THEN they can contact BT which will take 48 hours apparantly.
f*** this, this is the 4th time its happened.
screw this, tomorrow im going with BT. Best people for problem solving.
Rang Andrew at IDNET, he did some tests and confirmed my line had been going down periodically. After asking me if I had swapped out router and checked hardware etc (and believing me when I said I had) he got BT on the case. A couple of days later and after resetting a few things (line speed then SNR margin) it is stable again.
Sorry had to post I saw people had similar problems haha. Calling Qwest today see if we can solve this. It was at 6000 kbs I think, dont have a reference cs 1.6 ftw
