So my little brother has been away working all summer break, and he comes back in about a month. i was thinking about ordering him a new case for his computer and setting it up for him before he got back as a little surprise. I have been looking at the Phantom 410 for him in Red. want something a little different in color, he likes red and orange, but i cant seem to find the black and orange 410 for sale in Canada so i guess ill have to go with red. just wondering if anyone has experience with this case and if it has been a positive or negative experience?

He currently has an Antec Sonata iv right now, but the temps are a little higher than they should be, running an AMD Phenom ii 955 Black, and he wont let me overclock it because there are no fans in his case, only the 120mm? in the back of it lol. Any input on the NZXT Phantom 410 would be appreciated. Thanks

It's a good case tbf... Only downside that I can think of right now is that it doesn't have dust filters.

There's also the Phantom 530 which has an updated design (inside and out) but it does cost a bit more:

mmm the 530 goes a little over budget, also can not find a retailer for it here. trying to keep the price, shipping and tax inc, under $200 cnd. also picking up a small cooler for his cpu, most likely a CM Hyper 212

Can't go wrong with the Hyper 212 Evo

And even though it's a bit old by now, I guess there's nothing wrong with the Phantom 410. It's a pretty good case, really!

well....the 212+ is what i was looking at....is the evo better by much? gunna swap the fan on it for a corsair SP120 i have here with a red ring i think if i do it....i have a 212+ on my 2500k now, didnt know there was much difference between the evo and the +

OK! the Phantom 410 Red has been ordered.....should have it in a week to 9 months lol! air shipping on cases is expensive will remember to take many pix to post a log of his surprise build, and of course share them with you guys

The Hyper 212 Evo comes with a better fan and is a newer design I think. Don't think that it would matter much if you're putting a different fan on it though.

Ok. so got the pc put back together now! been holding off on uploading pics, had to format my pc and ive been lazy about it lol.

so here it is, the Red Phantom 410

This is the old Antec Sonata 3, with the phantom beside it

Inside the old antec, is a gigabyte GA-990XA UD3, with a Phantom 2 955 Black, 8gb corsair vengeance 1600 ram, 1TB WD Black, XFX 6950 1GB video card.

The mess of wires that made me a little sad.....was early on a Saturday morning and the hangover was kicking in big time when i looked at this lol

But it came together with a CM Hyper 212+ on the cpu....also over clocked it for him to 4.0.

And its all together and up and running waiting for him to come home to see it on the 30'th. he doesn't know ive done anything to it yet as he's been away working for the summer.
