I'll take three, along with my five subs to Nvidia's new gaming plan.

I'm bored of Case Labs cases. They're just square boxes. Very few people seem to be doing anything of note with them any more. All we're seeing is dual loop configurations with very little modding or evolution. They're basically copying the JayzTwoCents/Singularity Computers philosophy—even the loop layouts are the same. I'm more interested in Parvum, Lian Li, InWin Phanteks and HEX Gear. Their cases have more going on aesthetically and design wise.

It's a box, into which you screw your hardware, yet it costs more than my entire PC cost me, including monitor/peripherals. The worst part is that it doesn't even look particularly special.

I can understand your frustration, but that logic is very tired by now. You could apply it to almost anything in life; therefore it's pointless.

"The oil that guy uses just to keep his toes warm at night is enough to put my kid into school for a year. All it is is a bit of oil and slightly warmer toes."

"The computer that guy uses to game on would be enough to put me in a house for a month so I can get myself off the streets and eventually into a job."

It's all perspective; and everyone has a different one.

i'm a big fan of what the guys do over at Parvum. HEX-gear, inwin and Phanteks also put out something interesting but this case need a review just to justify the price and not a 5/7 minutes quick look...

Definitely. There is likely a huge amount of work and detail that has gone into this case. I don't agree when people say things like, "At £800 I could buy a Case Labs!" Case Labs or In Win are not the only manufacturers qualified or granted by our highly prestigious standards to produce a flagship case. Until we see what makes this cost £800, I'm giving it the same awe and reserved respect as I would a new In Win case of similar estimated price.

I might have missed something but I don't see how either of those hypothetical arguments you gave are relevant. I'm not complaining about the case because I can't afford it or feel it's a waste or money that could be better spent on more "meaningful" endeavours. I'm just commenting that the pricing is ridiculous for what it actually is.

I'm not frustrated by it in the slightest, I just think it's absolute insanity that it costs more than any of the components people are going to put into it. I mean it's more than a GTX 1080.

But that is contextual. That's my point. The price of keeping toes warmer at night is ridiculous for what it is. The price of gaming is ridiculous for what it is. You're essentially removing yourself from reality by living vicariously through fictional digital characters that a group of people designed so they can earn money to keep their toes warmer at night. Much of the time you're furthering a greedy industry and even encouraging violence. Obviously playing video games doesn't make you violent, but there is an argument for showing a love for violence—that's not my point, though, and I'm digressing.

Ok I think I see where you're coming from. I still think this case is vastly overpriced though since IMO it doesn't look anything special. The In-Win H Frame for example you can see that it's cost them a lot to design and develop, this just looks very basic for that sort of money.

Of course this is just my opinion.

there probably is huge amount of work that goes into this case and i used caselabs as an example of price, i've had a caselabs case before and will probably never own one again.

I'm a big... 'phan' of Phanteks so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. I want to see them make a truly exotic chassis that isn't as mechanically niche as the H-Frame or as boring as a Case Labs STH10.

When the market goes to smaller and smaller cases Phanteks goes the other way making one of the biggest ones you can buy. I suspect the market is extremely niche
