PES 2008, Xbox 360 or PS3?

Hi All

After some advice/opinions.

I'm getting PES 208 (so no arguments about Fifa ) and I have both 360 and PS3.

Not a gamer score whore, although they're good fun.

However my PS3 only gets used for Blu-Ray and the occasional Motorstorm sesh, so I'm thinking PS3

Any disadvantages to getting the PS3 version? What do y'all think?

Are there any considerations for online play or anything Kemp ? Oportunities to update ? meh

Also hardcore PES fansite-forums will tell u which version is missing what feature and so on - if any.
 
Online play - ye may do some of it, not loads though I doubt. Generally I love playing master league or against my mates when they come over

Also must mention that the PS3 is in the lounge on the HDTV and the 360 is in the PC room on my Dell 2405...meaning the PS3 is more accessible for when my mates come round generally :)
 
PS3 for sure.

I`ve always personally thought of gaming consoles u pair with pc gear "in a room" as ones u`d like to get intense with.

No1 waiting for some1 to finish a game, and looking around, grabbing kit with "what`s this", "u using this", "u want this". Playing the game ffs.

PS3... controller too... think the PS3 controller is better designed. Plus the online play is free unless of course you already subscribe to Xbox live?

Can't believe you haven't got Heavenly Sword for your PS3 :mad:
 
Erm. xbox easy haha.. :) the controller is much easier to use... BUT your PS3 being in your living room.. is probably in the better spot
 
In my opinion, the Playstations have always been for PES.

The controls work much better. ;)

With the PS3 the shaders will be much smoother than the 360s thats for sure.

Other than that there isn't much difference. :)

Good man agreeing with the controls. Obviously each to their own but i've used both and find PS easier.

I am subscribed to Xbox Live, which pretty much cr@ps all over Sony's online version. Also the 360 controller is better designed for pretty much everything

Heavenly Sword sucks tbh, played it on rental

What is your reason for saying the shaders are better? Have you actually read the GPU spec for both consoles? I didn't think so.

Both consoles are about the same. The Cell is faster than the 360's CPU whereas the 360's GPU is more advanced than the PS3's GPU. Horses for courses

Most comparisons I have seen end up with the PS3 having nicer textures and sharper picture. That is all. :)

what comparisons have you been looking at?

i have yet to see one where ps3 is superior.

i would go for 360,but i wouldnt touch a football game with a 20ft pole tbh:p

Same here. The PS3's GPU is basically a 7 series, whereas the 360's is kind of an X1800 with a few DX10 features stuck in there
 
Both are equal tbh.. both have their flaws and both have there perks.. i cba with this argument lol... Personally i would get it for xbox having played both, only because of xbox live and the controller, but footy games are great fun with mates so the living room would tempt me massively.. i guess its down to whether you would game more with friends in the house, or over live.. :)

P.s the picture may appear sharper due to 1080P.. the only reason..
 
Ye they're about the same really :)

I will play more single player and with my mates than over live, even tho I win a fair bit on live if I do play :)

I have 720p, not 1080p but tbh the TV looks better generally with consoles I think

Wash your mouth out!!!!! (well fingers)... It doesn't suck... the final battles are rather epic and the story gets a bit better as the game goes on.. Only problem as reported everywhere is the length of the game. Using the sixaxis is pretty good after getting used to it. I was quite surprised at how responsive it was.
