Real concern is that gpu performance can be really crippled in some laptops... range for base/boost clocks is enormous

What's more concerning is that it seems like there isn't even an SSD built in at those price points! Even 5.400 RPM ones!!!

What, that boost of 1200MHz in the case of 2060 is absolute junk. I wonder what's the de facto boost with decent cooling.

If you go to their pages you can see full specs, including ssd-s. And you can always opt to add one, difference in price should not be large.
