PC freezing randomly...

Heyho fellas!

Since yesterday about 2:00PM my PC keeps randomly freezing and shutting down...

It runs smooth and then all of a sudden it freezes, the screen doesn't change any

more and finally it shuts down ( or not... sometimes it keeps running but doesn't

react when doing sth. ). When its frozen, pings also don't work ( so not only the

graphics stop performing ).

Specs:

Intel i7-920 D0

Corsair Dominator CL7-8-7-20 1600MHz

DFI LanParty X58-JR-T3H6

MSI GTX 260 TwinFrozr

BCLK: 190

Multi: 20

CPUCLK: 190x20=3800MHz

QPI: 190x18x2=6840MT/s

GFX @ 670/1500MHz

Voltages are on AUTO...

Temps:

CPU: 70°C

GFX: 60°C

Already run Memtest86+... passed 10 times w/o errors.

Currently running Test9 ( Bit fade test, 90 mins, 2 patterns ), but I am at work now...

When requested I can post a whole set of my BIOS-configuration when I am at home

again...

Additional information:

Installed the RAM listed above before a short time, but I don't think this happens due

to the RAM-change. I am quite common with computerhardware ( due to my education ).

so I hope somebody here can help me :-)

so long...

"Voltages are on AUTO..."

Yup what Tom said and F@H is very picky on that (saw your thread in the F@H section)

EDIT i see your post above why does it say "AUTO" then ?

and what are the voltages used ?

I can't tell you the voltages now... later when I am at home again...

But it also freezes when the FAH-clients are off...

And - another very special point:

Sometimes it freezes after a minute, sometimes after two hours or more...

EDIT i see your post above why does it say "AUTO" then ?

I HAD them adjusted from the beginning of 2010, but since about half a year

they are on AUTO and it works :-)

A ok , does it only freez up or do you also get BSOD's ?

I had something like this happen to me as well (i7 860) but only ones under full F@H load , BSOD's/LockUps...
