I have:

Computer Summary:

Windows Vista (32-bit)

Intel Core2 6600 @ 2.40GHz

2046 MB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS

932GB HDD, 186GB HDD

CD-RW/DVDRW, CD/DVDRW

Memory:

4x 512MB DDR2 SDRAM

Graphics Card:

Description: NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS

Memory: 256MB

And I scored: 992 Marks overall.

Although:

I compared my system against a near identical system (RAM,CPU,GPU)

All the same speeds etc. BUT

The comparison GPU was almost twice as fast as my own, they scored 894 and I scored 567 in GPU overall.

Could it be my Mobo holding me back?

The comparison mobo was SIEMENS D2151-A2.

Is that an E6600 or Q6600 ?

Anywho, goto this site : http://www.hwbot.org/ and look at 'benchmarking' in the navigation to the left - goto the 'search' and when the fields come up, stick in the details close to what u got and take a look-see :)

Site seems kinda slow today, but reflecting on the connection here - that could mean anything!

Hey Rastalovich, I went onto that site and found a couple of machines with a similar config but i'll have to bench with those programs listed (3dmark etc) in order to get a reference point but thanks for the link.

Also that an E6600 I have not a quad just a dual :)

Well I think I know what the problem is, I OCed my RAM to 333MHz from 266MHz.

And my GPU score went from 567 to 581.

I was reading about RAM and Quad pumping and found that to run my CPU and other components at full speed I need to get RAM that runs at 1066MHz, the same as the FSB.

Can anybody recommend any value for speed RAM?

:)
