Pascal Titan X benchmark performance leak

It very well better overclock :D

As Neverbackdown said earlier, Bigger die, More cores, More voltage all equal more heat so if it uses the same type vapour chamber as the 1080 then I doubt clocks are going to be that high unless you waterblock it.

Didnt see that. Guessing that wasin the news thread...

I personally wouldnt bother getting one of these unless I was going to watercool it anyways.

More surface area more contact for cooling. The reference cooler cant really handle this kind of heat output though as anyone who owned a 980ti or Titan X would know. My only concern was whether or not it would end up TDP limited if one were to heavily OC. Other than that. Luck.

Disappointing indeed.

imo what everyone is really waiting on is juicy new 1080TI news.

I don't know if there will be a 1080 Ti this time round.

Going by the now released benchmarks from various publications the performance gap between a 1080 and the Titan XP isn't really that big.

There will definitely be a 1080ti I reckon. Unless of course Nvidia feel they've made enough money out of Pascal and want to move onto Volta.

The issue with that, though, is that Volta will either be a dead end or there could be one coming shortly after as they are nearly at maximum shrink. Intel have pretty much hit the same brick wall so yeah, I'm not sure they will want to hurry past Pascal.

Who knows though? I definitely reckon there will be a 1080ti though. The chance to make money is just far too great.

I've been saying this for some time now, doubt there would be any Ti cards this time around. The performance increase across the new 1000 series upto the Titan is clear to see and honestly with cards being overclockable Ti cards have nowhere to fit in.

Unless they plan on doing what they did with the kepler series. Though instead of an unlock just shove more in.
