well i had an idea that painting psu wires would be a cheap, easy and effective way of jazzing one up,especially if you didnt want full on color braiding.

but i wonder would it void your warranty?

i wouldnt of thought it would myself because your not modifying the internals or anything....you guys think it would void warranty?

Depends on the PSU brand tbh. Some companies are really anal, but I know of a few that even honor the warranty if the PSU has been re-braided and the warranty sticker removed

Couldn't say for sure, but probably not. They don't have an RMA center in the UK, so if you did send it back and they rejected it, you'd probably be hurting from shipping costs.

What paint would you use  wouldn't most paint dry and crack as soon as you flexed/bent the wires?

Be hard to work on (if ur custimsing etc) without knowing what colour each wire is aswell.

I would've thought painting colour coded wires would void the warrenty on any manufacturer. It's a bit like having a colourblind electrician :)

Yeah that's what I was wondering. If you don't fancy going the sleeving route, maybe try using long lengths of heatshrink? Might looks pretty good.

I know of at least 2, but I doubt they'd want me letting everyone know about their relaxed RMA procedures in a public forum :)

if i where to customise my psu i would get the shop to do it:p

i just thought if i could paint them it would save me fair bit of moolah expecially since i have loads of the uv paint:rolleyes:
