p67a vs z67x

One exists and one doesn't. You mean Z68 right?

Differences between P67 and Z68 are that Z68 can use the integrated graphics (or iGPU) as well as the dedicated (dGPU). It also has Intel Smart Response Technology, where you can use an SSD to act as a cache storing commonly used files

oh ya ive heard of that - so next question what would be the setup if i install a 128ssd and a 2tb standard hd -

i set them in raid and they popup as one - would you then recommend that i just leave it as it is and install windows7 64 on that or should i still split it in a big and a small partition ? and install win on the small and leave junk on the big part ?

DO NOT raid a HDD with an SSD. Raid only properly works when the drives or SSD's are the same make and model.

you can use a 128GB ssd for the ISRT but only up to 64GB of it will be used for the cache the rest will be used as normal storage. But using a SSD as a stand alone op sys drive will be faster than ISRT to start with so if ya have a 128GB ssd dont bother with ISRT

true and false lol yes you dont want to raid ssd with a hdd but ISRT isnt really raid. the ssd is used for cache only of frequently used files you can however raid any hdds together or ssd's together but performance will be greatly increased if they are the same as far as sata revision and cache size as well as speep but size overall is negligible hell ya can even raid an ssd with a hdd if ya want to bork ur ssd sooner lol

What I did was use the SSD for the OS and apps, and actually some of my Steam games, then the big 1TB drive is just for storage and backups
