P4 2.6-2.8 on AW9D

Got a question for y'all... I'm selling an AW9D to a co-worker who has a P4 2.6 or 2.8GHz cpu. He has a fairly old pc, bought around 2002-3, so I know he can use an upgrade, but will he really see a 'speed boost' from the mobo alone? I also think he runs IDE HDD's, and of course the lone slot on the AW9D is for optical drives... basically means he should buy a SATA HDD?

I would see a increase in speed, as in loading things.. But nt preformance.. Thtas all down to Ram, GTXs, CPU...

So like in Oblivion when it loads he might not get so much stutter on SATAs..

I think thas correct.. Complain to me if Im wrong..
