Overclocking i5 750

So my computer broke over weekend, just bought a new rig,

gigabyte p55-ud5

i5 750

corsair xm3 4gb

main parts anyways.

So i did some BASIC overclocking with my Q6600 where i didnt have to mess with voltages as it could get to 3.0ghz on stock easily.

Now with new motherboard there are a million more things in BIOS and im abit bamboozaled.

I just want to reach a nice overclock without having to adjust voltages and wonder if anyone knew how to that, and whats a safe speed.

Its not that cut and dry mate as every system is different. Voltages will always have to be fettled.

Up the BCLK unitll unstable and then up the voltages as you would have with the q6600.

Its dead easy so dont fret. Just remember volts = heat and you need to keep the cpu below 80c after 8 hours of stress testing.

so i did what your said, raise the BCLK, aswell as disabled loads of stuff in the bios, but it raises my memory aswell to like 1500mhz. my ram is rated at 1600 but runs at 1333, i have no experience with ram so have no idea what im doing there, is that safe?
