Overclocking and cooling laptop

I currently have an Acer Aspier 5670 and im looking for a little more omph. in the past i simply just over-clocked but since this is a laptop i dont know if i can bump up the fan speed. any ideas/suggestions. keep in mind im new at this
 
Clockgen could work for you... I read a review (in a magazine - no linky) and clockgen was used to OC a Dell... Limited results as you have no voltage control... Google it and download...

Clockgen on laptops is a pain i've tried it on my Dell 640m, if you don't have a Nvidia chipset it cannot read values and many of the Intel ones aren't programmed in so you cannot actually overclock.
