does anyone know of a way to overclock this graphics card running vista rc1

i have tried using nvidas own overclocking tool, coolbits and powerstrip and none will alow me to change the gpu and ram speed

thanks in advance

I just switched over to RivaTuner myself, there's also a nice plugin for monitoring your CPU temps as well (there's a link that gives full installation instructions). 8800GTS now at 591/999, 3DMark05 score of 18000+, 3DMark06 of 10000+ (single video card, C2D E6600@3.645GHz). Makes it just a bit better than my 7900GT's in SLI at 560/880...

There's a small pop-up box you click then go to driver level system settings or something, then enable driver level overclocking

i see where you mean but for some reason it says no supported drivers are detected .Any ideas i have the latest nvidia drivers is there something i am missing thanks in advance

Try uninstalling just your display drivers and then installing the latest drivers from guru3d.com (nVidia 7900 series drivers are 97.46, make sure you get the one for 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) depending on what Vista OS you run). RivaTuner should detect them, then click the little down arrow next to 'Forceware Detected-----------------------customize...', first icon looks like a video card called 'system settings', then overclock away.

Alrighty, then... the next best thing I would advise is googling your problem. Something like 'overclocking 7900gs in Vista', try different wordings to get as many hits for overclocking as possible. Hopefully someone with Vista will see this thread and give some firsthand help.
