Too bad really, from what I have seen in the past, some of the deals are really good even after taking into account international shipping..

Lol..'bargain basement prices'. ..at OCUK? That'll be the day. They'll probably jack their prices up a week or two before the sale so they can then claim 'massive savings' on Black Friday without getting into to trouble with the advertising authorities. No different to what many retailers do of course but OCUK are a particularity bad example of the price gouging mentality that is prevalent amongst UK retailers.

Yeah OCUK charged £70 more than Scan for an NVME M.2 SSD because Scans was on pre-order and OCUK had stock.

Scans came into stock and quickly sold out so OCUK kept the price high.

I know they are a business but they are beyond greedy.

Yeah its a massive loop hole.

As long as they have an item priced somewhere in the country at a 200% markup, they can claim it is on sale for the rest of their chain as it is cheaper than "that" store selling it at high price.

OCUK only have 1 store in the UK AFAIK.

I got a Sapphire R390 nitro 8gb OC for £205 from them last year, which was a really good deal at the time (below the trade cost)
Plus an X99 bundle for £670ish, which was way below the price of the components elsewhere.

A lot of the other stuff was at small discounts but they tend to throw all their manufacturer discounts into a couple of really good deals.

I'm not overly enthusiastic this year because the brexit vote has hammered the value of sterling, so things are going to be 20%ish more than they should be.

Yeah Brexit has messed a few things up but the thing is Brexit hasn't actually happened yet and won't happen for a good long while.

Yup, will take some time (years if recall correctly) before it really goes through.

Why did you guys decide to leave the EU again?...

Apparently in large it was to do with immigrants from europe when infact most immigrants come to the UK from outside europe.

The whole thing is messed up.

But some business' have reported a sales increase of 30% plus since Brexit as tourism has boomed due to the cheaper pound. It also helps exports. I know I'd rather have things a little more expensive than have terrorists and criminals coming into our country.

I suggest you take a walk through a town called Boston. There's also Rochdale, large parts of East London, Bradford, Dewsbury. It is not our role in life to provide housing and health care to people from countries where the minimum wage is 10 times lower than in Britain. Heck, Amazon is full of EU migrants. They know they will accept far worse conditions than a native Brit.

My last five orders have all been from OCUK. Quite simply no one could beat them on price for the WC gear I bought.

Their customer service has been amazing too.

Hey lets not go into the whole immigrant thing, because in this day and age, we are all diluted from some other country now anyway.

What scares me is the highly complex algorithms that cause stocks to fluctuate can react on a spike in twitter posts, or facebook comments. And they have recently confirmed that the US presedential election if it goes Trumps way will cause the stocks in US and UK to fall far worse than that of the brexit vote.

Every year i like to splash out in OCUK and send it home to the uk. I pick it up and take it back to norway when I visit my brother then. Tax import here is just ludicrous. So far though the only issue i see with OCUK raising prices has been a necessity because of the falling GBP. What I do dislike is when e-tailers keep these prices when their currency regains its strength boasting them even more profits.

Yeah mainly EU countries i.e native europeans/westerners.

Anyway the price on OCUK has been pretty decent lately, The 1080 Classified I bought was £30 cheaper than on EVGA's official store.

And how is the overclock headroom on them? same as all other 1080 boards?

Managed 2150GHz on the core as it auto boosts to 1980 and 1050 on the memory for a total of 11050MHz.

Even at 60% fan speed it is still incredibly quiet.

and what is the average overclock people achieve on this? that sounds about the same OC as the reference cards or am i wrong?
