Overclock help

im trying to overclock my athlon x4 620 an im not having to much success. im a fairly new to overclocking but ive built a more than my fair share of rigs.

the rig:

Athlon II X4 620

ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO

8 gigs crucial 1333

XFX 4850

550 watt bfg

2-500 hdd raid 0

1.5 terabyte drive

Ive got an corsair H50 cooler. its keeps the processor pretty frosty during stock operations. so i imagine itll perform fairly well when overclocked.

if anyone can give me a hand that would be awesome
 
Both the H50 and H70 only give goods temps during idle, once it hits load they can't dump the heat. So you might want to upgrade the cooler.

From the specs though, I think your RAM might be the problem, but you should wait for a more seasoned overclocker before buying anything.
 
Have you read any guides or done any overclocking yet as youve said nothing about what you have got so far?
 
ive looked at some guides but they have made any sense to me.

but i had some crucial memory in this rig. i managed to get it overclocked to 3.4 ghz.

i took it out cause it was only 2 gigs running at 1066.

to get 3.4ghz i only had to change fsb bus i think its called from 200 to 265.

it was stable. and during load i wouldnt get above 40c.
