I've posted this elsewhere, but quite chuffed so you'll have to forgive me.

Hadn't been able to push my 144 without some decent RAM, my 2x1Gb Geil Value has been swapped out for 2x512mb GSkill LEs and things have started to fly.

3Ghz was a piece of cake with my GSkill LEs, its a CABYE 0536GPMW:

Thats at 1.64V ish set in the bios, load temps were 44 degrees, should be some headroom in both the chip and the RAM, not had a fiddle with lower voltages yet.

Best £120 ever spent :D FX-57 beater ;)

Cooling is:

LRWW waterblock

AquaXtreme 50z pump

2x120mm Swiftech rad

2x120mm fans at 5Vs (silent :D)

1/2" Tygon tubing

Sweeeeeeeeeet

Brilliant scores Minsta mate - best oveclocker I have seen at that price point in a long time.

Absolutely amazing value and what a brilliant speed to boot under air cooling.

Is it 32m superpi stable?

Edited your post to take competitor suppliers names out (in line with forum rules).

Great stuff - keep going.

Oh sorry about the competitor, I cut and paste it from their forums, thanks mate :)

Didn't have time to run 32m, will give it a go this evening :)

Thats excellent mate nice one! So is it a FX57 beater that is the question - is it "games" stable at that speed and how does it compare like for like? Either way, that sort of speed out of a cheap cpu is stunning!! It reminds me of the old AMD XP days.

I know its not really going to beat an FX57 as they overclock even further, but its only £120s worth of CPU so I can live with it :D

Haven't done proper stability testing yet, will prime and game this evening to test it, but I haven't even done any tweaking, I just put in my Gskill, dialed up 3Ghz and away I went :) You'd even be able to get 3ghz on a decent air cooler in all likelyhood.

the reason it clocks so well is that the first few batches use fx-57 dies, hence the good clocks buddy, you ahve a good one under phase i ahve seen 3.5ghz

The CABNE stepping were the very best, mines a CABYE, still a beauty though. Just got 31,000 in 3DMark 2001 with a stock X850XTPE :D

They're not as good as the CABNEs, but £120 for a 3Ghz can't be that bad?

Sounds like the upcoming M2 will have to be able to compete and do more than this then :)

good oc.
