ok so I have a GTX1080 by gigabyte its their xtreme edition with a full cover block installed great card plays everything just fine except Ghost Recon Wildlands where I get some shuddering momentary freezes was told its cause my monitor isnt gsync and that gsync would fix that issue. But I digress my issue is the water block has a few stress cracks on it (I actually thought it was a design element but recently saw 2 other cards without the cracks) it doesnt leak at all and Gigabyte sent me another card via advanced replacement and its worse than the one I have. So they are (at least they said they were) giving me a refund on my card 799$ is what I paid for it. I'll be stuck with a strix 970 til I get the refund. I'm wondering what y'all would recommend. BTW I stuck the second card in for sli fun over the weekend and even with the higher FPS 55-60 single 1080 to 95-110 sli'd I still have the shuddering issue. Really throws off a turn and shot before dying situation when it happens lol.
I game at 3440x1440 current offerings I have are a Gigabyte gtx1080ti xtreme for 740$ shipped, and a couple 1080 fe's with blocks the xtreme will get a block once they are out as EK has them slated for early may release. I'm looking towards Nvidia only as AMD's are known to dump alot of heat into a loop (I know I used to run xfired 7970's) plus with my current case I'm limited to the rad surface area I can provide.
