Opinions Required for Monitor Choice

I'm looking to upgrade my 6 year old PC monitor and would like to know if any of you can help me choose something nice.

I'd like my new monitor to have the following specificaitons, or similar:
  • Cost approx. £150
  • Have a 24" screen
  • Have a HD display
  • Have a bright display
  • Have a good contrast ratio
  • Have HDMI and DVI inputs
  • Be ideal for general office use as well as occasional gaming and occasional CAD applications
I've taken to the ASUS VE248H but, apparently, it's not an incredibly popular choice (for whatever reason).

Kind regards,

Lucas.

In-Plane switching -
In short, gives you amazing viewing angles and far better brightness and picture quality.

I have the iiyama btw - but the LG uses the same screen as the iiyama and so is effectively identical. So whichever is cheapest really - but the iiyama is just nicer IMO ;)

Ummm - easier to carry? :L

Other than cost it doesnt. 24inch IPS monitors are about £70 more expensive than their 23'' version - so it makes sense just to sacrifice the inch and get 23

Okay. I thought it might be something overly technical.

I quite like the iiyama ProLite X2377HDS.

Decisions, decisions...
