OnLive video demonstration at Columbia University.

No idea about the company in Brazil. Here's the text that's associated with the lecture.

this was announced i think later last year and has been in beta for the past year over in america .... i think :p

looks great in my eyes but i dont think it will be taking off anytime soon as i like to own my games and data, MODS FTW!

i think i might have got it wrong the thing in brazil was a cloud network for ppl's pc without having to upgrade and using the cloud to deliver a 'pc' that they could use like they would normally without the problems of slow assed old hardware

Say goodbye to FREE GAMES if this was to hit, the companies have to pay and what company/person is going to pay to put their game on there whilst making no money? Most sites will go bankrupt.

i think its a neat idea in concept but i agree its not gonna take off at all but its dependant on prices of the subscriptions and the money publishers have to pay to get included on it and if they will make any from it being available from it

I don't think it will hurt free games, I'd think it would open it up to new forms of advertising based profit or subscription based revenue. Unless by free you meant pirated games, in that case this could be a real blow to them.

Over all though I think this would be really good for gaming companies. Because they will get more of the money people spend on their products allowing for better profits and more time / labor to invest into new products, testing and development.

Only time will tell though.

watching the demo now and all i cant think is "its growing on me"

this would be great for my little brother, mum etc who arnt massive gamers but do enjoy it every so often :)
