My NEW Liquid Cooled Rig

Hi, I'm ACE384.
Old UGLY Desktop pics were taken down, so this is just for my NEW rig now.

This is mainly a vanity gaming rig, I built it for show. having alot of high end components is a bonus. At one point i add some new components to it after it was mostly done, a temperature sensor attached to my graphics card, leaked onto my motherboard, luckily the Graphics card wasn't damaged but the motherboard was. When i got the new motherboard in I decided not to put the motherboard water blocks on it.

FINAL STATS:
case- XSPC H1v2 (discontinued unfortunatly)

Bay-Left-
Akasa Lokstor M51 (SSD&HD Hot swap + 2 USB 3.0)
LG Blueray Writer
Akust 5.25" bay drawer
(Empty)
Bay-Right-
(Empty)
Monsoon M2-D5P-RD Dual bay Res and Swiftech MCP655-PWM Pump
/\
Lian Li Bay mount with Thermal-Star Digital Gauge

Cooling Loop Components-
Koolance QD3 Quick Disconnects.
Monsoon Free Center Compression Fitting - 7/16"ID x 5/8"OD - Single Black Chrome.

Radiator-XSPC AX360 Triple Radiator
Fans-9 Corsair high static pressure, high performance fans. 8 Corsair high air flow, quiet edition.
Power Supply-Corsair AX1200 power supply (been considering getting another 7990), added the individual sleeved white cables.
Controller-Corsair LINK, controlles 13 fans, 3 LED light bars, Swiftech Pump in res., and reads the koolance temp sensor attached to Graphics card.
Motherboard-Rampage IV Gene (did have a Rampage IV Extreme, but i thought it had alot of waisted space on it) (besides the Gene can support 2 7990's just fine).
CPU-I7-3960x 3.3GHz (not OC'd)
Ram-32GB of RAM, 4x8GB Corsair Dominator Platinum 1866MHz Quad channel Ram (not OC'd) (I got the ram addon light bar, but im not sure if I want to put it on yet).

Sound card-Creative Sound Blaster Z SB1500 sound card (also mostly got to fill up space).
OS Hard drive-120GB Force Series GT SSD SATA 3 (Plan to get a 240GB Neutron Series GTX SSD soon) (OS drive of course)
Other Hard Drive-2TB Western Digital Black SATA 3

I found no need to overclock. But if I do i'll have plenty to play with.

Idle Temp.

------Did some Cable Cleaning------

I tried to take this pic a few times and none of the times made it look as good as it does in person.

Zipties work great, but somtimes some electrical tape will do. Keep is in one place and tidy

20130809_033318.jpg

Took out a fan that was chirping. plan to replace. Sorry for the LED glare.

20130809_033338.jpg

I like the look of just 2 black wires stretched accross. One powering all the fans and the other for the Corsair Link Cable.

20130809_033422.jpg

Yes. Zipties are keeping the second set of fans on... Finding the right screws for this setup is hard.

The main motherboard cables are the worst to tidy up.

Build 2...
Am I right in saying you've got a 7990, 3960x and motherboard all cooled on a single 240mm rad...?

I think you need to think/learn more before throwing money at the most expensive tech.

Tbh, you've wasted so much money here, and in all 3 cases made a terrible job out of it.

dear god man why did you have to rads pulling hot air into your case onto your graphics cards???

sh*/t!.. that 800d is a fu*/in' mess.. all scratched up, need to? I'm suffering, a lot!

btw, @jamesriley94, do you noticed the 6 push fans on the last pic?? epic! hehe

Whats up with the cables! The chassis is all scratched up and you have the rads pulling hot air onto the GPU. Sort that out and you could have a really nice rig:)

this brings to mind an old saying....

all the gear and no idea.

sorry dude but you need to spend some time learning about pcs and how to build them

Wow... i diddn't expect so much negative feed back. Built 1 was my first noob attempt at water cooling. Build 2 was more of an experiment. Neither builds even exist anymore. I move conponents from one build to the next. The last build is the final result. Btw the cable management on the last build needs minor work, i know. Build 1 and 2 were trial and error builds.

Not everyone's first build are a perfect masterpiece .

you have a point there mate, you probably should of just look a bit more into water cooling before doing it, that way you would of had less mishaps.

is it just me or is that last case huge?

It won't change much.. You can only get so much air in in the first place which will therefore negate the ability of more push fans to draw more air in. Only way you can compensate is with more intake fans than exhaust fans. Meaning stacking fans is useless.

^this.
Also what do you use the system for?

Gaming in eyefinity 5760x1080. I play a wide range of games, from crysis 3 to world of tanks to dirt 3.

I7-3960x (not oc'd)
32GB 4x8GB Dominator Platinum 1866MHz quad channel RAM (not oc'd)
Powercolor Radeon HD 7990 (not the devel 13 model) (not oc'd)
1200 watt corsair power supply (was looking to put 2 7990's)

My rig would be great for benchmarking and overclocking but i don't see a need to. I just like to game in eyefinity and ultra graphics settings. Also having 3 monitors is very handy for multi tasking.

What do you use yours for?

I could probable make a good excuse but i guess i boils down to i think the dual intake fan setup looks cool in my rig, even if the benefits are little to none.
