Oil Free Compressors??

Amongst them are units suitable for R404a and R507 - in that lot are oil-free compressors that can be used and will remove 225w @ -10 degrees.

What are the benefits/pitfalls of using a oil-less compressor?

I think the compressors you're seeing in there are with or without oil cooling.

Oil cooling isn't something we really need, as the design of the system give a high level of return cooling, and lower discharge pressures than some systems.

Oiless compressors are normally VERY loud. I made one from a recovery system's oiless compressor and it was louder than any Rotary compressor I've ever heard.

Perhaps there are quieter ones, but I don't know.

Not a very good system though, as the cooling was 'mediocre' really, and the noise was unbearable, even to me :O
