Another nice find can't wait to see how these fair against the 390x when it comes out, we could be in for a real battle royal.

So £700-750 in the UK, can see it going any lower as it wil then get into the price territory of the high end 980's (Matrix Gold/Kingpin/Hybrid) which hit the £600-650 price point.

Even as someone that doesn't use AMD cards (CUDA raytracing user, if I could use AMD I would) I hope their new top tier cards blow Nvidia stuff out of the water so that there is at least the potential for a large price drop accross the GTX line up.

Aye, I can see the price of the GTX 980 and GTX 970 dropping after this gets released too.

If the rumours are true, the new Fiji XT GPU is going to kick some serious bottom, let's hope that's the case. ;)

I'm sick and tired of the price of these top end cards. Sure, fun and games for the selected few - I'd just wish they would focus on making the best card they could for £400-£450 so it became within reach of more people.

Come on man! You can buy a gtx970 or a gtx950 or even an R9 280x/R9 290/x and you would be able to run almost every game at 1080p maxed out

And then someone comes on and says I wish they would make the best card they can for £200-£250

Welcome to the world of those that have and those that don't or simply put LIFE

You can get a 290X for £250 at the moment, which is 50-50% of the price of a 980 for 80-90% of the performance, its nothing sort of a bargain.

Maybe the problem isn't "the price of all this top teir stuff is too much" but the number of people that will happily buy it all on day one without so much of a thought that it is going to significantly drop in price?

Also for anyone complaining about the price of gaming cards, I'll point you in the direction of "professional cards" which are frankly the biggest con in the electronics market.

Not the flagship, NVidia do make other cards that are faster.:)

Would like to know if Kingpin will have a 980Ti coming out.

If you do see a Kingpin Edition it will be a pure money making rip off from EVGA. I can not see Kingpin himself using any as he has the faster Titan Xs available.

I think in about 6 months time there will be another new GM200 card from NVidia with all the cores enabled and 6gb of memory, this is the card that EVGA will use to do a Kingpin Edition.

The Titan X is a fully enabled GM-200, so unless they come out with another even bigger chip this is it for the Maxwell line-up. Cant see them just releaseing a 6Gb Titan X just for the sake of it with the 980Ti only haveing 250 odd cores less.

They will do whatever they need to do after AMD have made their play. ;)

They are following exactly the same launch sequence as they did with Kepler 7XX cards

First the 780 with cores disabled

Later the 780ti with all the cores enabled and beefed up power system. I think we will see a GM200 card following this pattern in about 6 months time.

No they arent.

"Big" Kepler launch went: 780(cores disabled) & Titan (Cores disabled with extra 3Gb of Vram), then 780Ti (Fully enabled) then Titan Black (Fully enabled with extra 3Gb of Vram)

"Big" Maxwell launch went: Titan X (Fully enabled 12GB of Vram) then 980Ti (cores disabled & half the Vram)

Unless they are launching another GM-200 variant with even more cores disabled than the 980Ti (because the Titan X is a fully enabled GM-200 chip), a dual GPU Card or an even bigger chip this is it for Big Maxwell.
