Looks like a good idea for a smart piece of kit. U can get the cpu urself and install it. From what I can tell, it comes with an Intel GM45?? onboard - insert ur own memory and harddrive and ur good to go.

Biggest issue I have is going to be the price. I can`t find one anywhere, but I`m sure it`s going to be quite alot. Without a cpu, drive, memory. These are going to bump the whole price quite a bit and will it compare to the likes of Acer/Dell gaming laptops bought complete.

Battery life being dependant on the stuff u stick in it.

I`d like one, but the thought of the price scares me.

Although you're probably right, I don't think it'll be the CPU/ram/HDD that are going to drive up the price but rather the kit itself. You can almost always find good laptop proc deals on the web. Even ebay has some decent options.
