OCZ Cryo-Z is shipping NOW!

LOL - I hear you there Ham!

Also Rast, somehow I doubt the UK will see one for £150, you know we always pay through the nose! I think it will end up more like £250 as shipping costs will be sky high due to the control of shipping pressurised containers...

Still, sub zero at the price of high end water! Niiiice

Pretty much. Just insulate, mount and switch on.

I bet Mobo maunfs are kicking OCZ though. Theyre RMAs due too condensation will be interesting figures

What sort of maintanance are we talking about ?

Whatcha mean by that? On the PC or the unit itself?

It theyre good then they'll only need a de-dust once every few months. If theyre rubbish they'll prob need access valves brazed on, what ever needs changing changed and re-gased.

Fingers crossed they used R404a or similar.

As for the PC you'll need too do the usual sub-zero cooling procedures. neoprene & nail polish:p.

Cant wait to see some of the conversations between nubs who have plastered their boards in lacquer think they're entitled to a warranty and tech support. I should expect OCZ to put a massive warning in the manual.

Also cant wait to see the actual performance of these things.

Ya kinda what u covered to be fair. I was wondering to what degree this sort of thing can be "plug`n`forget" hardware.

i.e. can u set it all up and not worry about it til something goes queer.

OCZ phase unit questions and a moan about Ripoff UK prices

Been reading various forums posts about this OCZ Phasechange cooler and this post on here in June is the most up to date I can find.Today when typing this reply is 20th October 2007,So has OCZ put these into retail in USA?Anyone over there bought one yet?If yes any good and what did you pay?I am in UK so we will have to pay well hign prices because UK is a ripoff county when it comes to paying for PC equip.Anyone from USA or Europe who come over to UK for holiday will tell you prices are sky hign for most things.IE new Vapochill Lightspeed £550 to £575 not including £35 postage costs is the usual price for a Vapochill in UK it's actually cheaper to buy one from Germany and have it imported from my calculations on viewing .de PC retailers websites. That's about $1150 in USA dollars.Kinda makes you think when the price on USA websites are $500 and USA is a very long way from Norway where Vapochill's are made yet UK is a few hundred miles away just across the North Sea yet UK price is double what the USA price is yet USA is thousands of miles away from Norway. If I'm wrong in any of my bashing points please point them out.Looking forward to see what the OCZ units can do on a quad core thou.
