OC3D Motherboard Test Rig

So Ive been itching to do something like this for a long time but it has always been put on the back burner. Ive got an epic artist friend who takes my ideas and comes up with the designs for these cases although this one is very similar to the Borg theme we did before. So I got him to give this a bit of loving - before people start saying wrap dont insult us - everyone of those lines is a seperate bit of vinyl - the amount of wastage to do this case is insane. Before any asks though he is like Banksy and likes to keep himself to himself and NO we wont be selling 'stickers' LOL

Anyways moving on - I cut the HDD bays out of the floor because IMHO thats the one bit about this case I never liked - I chucked in a sheet of 3mm genuine carbon fiber to add a bit of bling - all fan are AF white LED's and theres 2 sets of BitFenix white LED strips. This will be used for motherboard reviews so I want it to be well lit.

I will be doing something with another case for GPU reviews too, I thought it was time that considering Im always giving people grief about their rigs I could show you its really easy to have a tidy looking system. After all these cases will be getting stripped all the time so if I can do it regularly theres no excuse for you lot not to do it ONCE!

Very nice, saw something about this on FB the other day, looked different in the picture though, must be because it was dark. :P

Edit: Oh yeah do you sell these stickers for us to buy? HA jokes. :)

lol hint and the new logo/site colours much?

Question: Would it not be easier to cut it out of white vinyl, and put it onto a black case? instead of the other way around?

Love the designs you guys come up with!

Its very similar to the Borg one. I pretty much come up with a concept and rough idea then just bark orders at my mate to perfect it but he does all the PC design work and application.

No mate because that would then be a full wrap and theres to many corners angles and knife edges to have to deal with.

If that is AF LED 120 fans on the rad welcome to the club ;).
Before someone grills me I have an SP on pull and the AF on push.Equally n00bish? yeah and what.

I wouldnt mix and match - its going to cool well enough for what we want, cpu temps dont really matter unless we are pushing silly volts through a CPU

Yeah I guess thats true for you intel lot :P. I sometimes leave my rig rendering stuff while I'm at work and as such I like to know its not going to have any thermal issues ^_^. 8 hours of running at 100% still makes me a tad nervous. I mean I shouldn't be nervous considering I tested my cpu for 24hours when I did my OC but whatever.

The 540 looks a lot better without the HDD cadges in there and shows the components off nicely, which is the intended purpose I guess :)

I really like how the vinyl comes out onto the window and love what you have done with the floor, Corsair should have done that from the start. It makes a good case for motherboard reviews without all of the usual cages and PSU it feels really open and i'm sure it will work well on camera.

I'm not sure it needs two OC3D stickers, it's like having two Corsair logo's on the chassis, it's just kinda odd and it weirds me out when I can see both at once. Personally I would remove the one on the window. I also never thought LED fans would become popular enough again to feature in a rig like this after the Scythe/Noctua/Corsair craze.
