OC3D Forum 'Myspace' "56K beware"

Hi Guys :wavey:

To help alleviate some of Kempez' forum duties, and to free up some time for reviews and life etc; I have taken on the responsibility of looking after OC3D's 'Myspace' and keeping it up to date. Currently, the frontpage has recieved a bit of a facelift, but there is more work to be done...I have a few other bits-n-pieces and fine tuning I want to add to it. Anyway, if you want to go and have a look, it can be found here - OC3D myspace

If you have any suggestions, pls don't hesitate to forward them onto me - pv at overclock3d dot net, and we'll certainly look at the merits of adding them.

Looks good PV, but my opinion for Myspace is still strong. I hope President Bush gets it shut down, there were talks of that before. Do you know a total of I think 72 people have been killed from MySpace and kidnappers, adult predators, etc! :O

Although I wouldn't be the least bit dissapointed in the downfall of MySpace I think the people getting kidnapped and killed on MySpace are just ****ing morons. They publicly put out WAYYYY to much personal information, you have to be smarter than that.

Either way I don't care. MySpace is teh uber suckassness.

and you should know that i like hard dance etc coz i dj for oc3d radio

and no music on the page is what i ment but whatever

doesnt bother me much tbh as i dont like myspace and wont be visiting(and feel sorry for those who veiw the page)

As far as I'm concerned, the myspace site is nothing more than a 'tool'. It's used to further publicise OC3D Forum, nothing more...nothing less. Hey if it brings more people to the forum, then that's a good thing right? I'm not going to argue the ethical merits of myspace as a whole; but I do believe that the people who have been hurt through it, perhaps contributed significantly to the situation themselves. Perhaps education is better than the typical 'let's can it' attitude.

Anyway, I hope that the myspace gets us more members and publicity; for those of you opposed to it, don't go there! Any other suggestions for free advertising with as high a user exposure rate of myspace pls let me know. We could perhaps try that avenue as well. I just want OC3D to reach it's full potential, as I'm sure you all do. Just my 0.02c worth...

i agree with you pv theres no question there are some stupid people around who will give out any information to stangers and should know better to not do so in this day and age tbh

as for open minded i like to think of myself as very open minded i just dont like music on sites tbh,and as said a few u2 tracks are cool i listen to loads of music from metal-rap-house-80's etc i dont see how to be any more open minded

and for sure myspace will probably get us a lot of members with that brilliant vibrant page,its definately gonna catch some eyes

once i get a new mic i will be repping up oc3d during my sets lots more too

on another note for oc3d radio-how about pre recorded advertisings? like with music in the background and stuff,i think it would work really well and some advertising for oc3d radio wouldnt go a miss...
