OC3D Exclusive Review: Noctua NF-P12

Spectacular review Llwyd, bravo. Those fans look like a big winner with the U.L.N.A. installed. Is there any chance you may be able to record the output levels on a microphone with each cable and full throttle so we can hear the difference that the step down cables make?

Cheers!

thanks frag :)

Yea ive got the recordings on my desktop I just dont thing theyre worth putting up. Theres a fair bit of background noise (not in the mood to remove my PSU in order to run a fan) and they don't really do the fan justice.

I'll do some more and see how they turn out then maybe stick them in the testing section :)

Have you ever run Yate Loon D12SL-12s?

If so, how do you rate these fans in comparison at 12v and 6v?

better, hands down

the noctua is quieter than anything ive ever used and if i remember the D12SL-12's static pressure was lower than the sharkoon 1000, which from the feel of things underneath the radiator is lower than the NF-P12. Plus the noctua shifts more air at 12v.

Didnt run the D12SL-12 at 5v or 7v so I couldnt say but the NF-P12 is basically inaudible on the L.N.A and still shifts more than enough air for a case fan
