I`ll be honest, cos I`m drunk - and there`s no other option, consumers could care less about r&d cost, manufs should know that, it`s not a good excuse. They should be prepared to eat r&d costs.
The item, even tho it may work splendidly, will not sell for £300. No player in their right minds would buy this for £300. I can afford this - and I say no way.
It will be bought by those who`s own money isn`t paying for it. Corporates etc. Average Joe will not pay £300 for a HID.
I`d limit price at about £100. Just to get it out there. If it proves good in the game field, bring out a new version with pretty lights on it for £150 or something (with no r&d cost) just to recoup money.
I may appologize about this post 2morrow.

Is there any more information on this product such as overall capabilities of this devices software.
what's it's limitation?
can we use this to cut out the mouse in a 2d environment? (if true i can see my development time decreasing rapidly
)
also any sdk's etc...(so we can analyse signals and associate our own cmds as such or even if we just want to watch our own brains work)
