We went along to a press conference hosted by AMD in the fine town of London to see what the CPU-making chaps in Green have been doing tucked away with the GPU-making chaps in Red. Chipsets and graphics ensue

Take a read

Agreed. I've got an Intel varient sitting on my (massive) "to do" pile so we should see how the little beauties perform :)

Intresting stuff! :)

At first I really didn't think AMD + ATi awas gunna work(don't ask why)... I have been truely proved wrong.

Kempez, I am looking forward to seeing the outcome of the intel side.. :p

Well RD600 was an ATI part for sure

As 690 surely is too - but both have been released whilst under AMD ownership.

I'll give then that it's their first chipset with integrated gfx though.

It's the first AMD chipset under the new AMD (ATI and AMD). RD600 was an ATI chipset and the enthusiast AMD variant is going to be called something else.

Now they just need to produce a cpu worth having to go with it :p.

I have a feeling we'll be seeing some cool stuff by the end of this year :)

Always the same problem with me, look at upgrading and something new comes out, faster, better, and so on, but this looks as though it will be worth the wait.
