OC1 Server Down / Upgrade

Hi Guys,

Well this was going to be a thread to tell you that the OC1 server that hosts various parts of OC3D would be down on Tuesday for an upgrade, but unfortunately it died last night, so now it will be down UNTIL Tuesday. This will affect the following services:

- OC3D Dust2 CS:S Server

- Hexus CS:S Server

- OC3D Webmail

- Teamspeak Server

Normal service should be restored on Tuesday evening.

Any idea what died? I am looking at maybe getting a server, but am scared of longevity issues.

Do we have an ETA on when the server shall be restored? No doubt I'm gonna have bulk cleaning to do in my news inbox once it's on the go again :eyes:

Are we doing a hardware upgrade on this box or just optimizing the nix kernel, since I know we have a custom compiled kernel for our needs. Hopefully ur popping in an extra gig or 2 of RAM

three (I THINK) 200 gb hdd's in RAID 5 and he did mention getting a new kernel done

Hi Guys,

After a day of fun the server is now back online. All services are back up and running with the exception of the Dust2 CSS server which will be back online later this evening.
