OC Questions!

Hi guys, I finally set up my rig last week and started doing some OC following the steps stated in fragtek's guide.

I have a 3200+ E3 chip. Ive managed to do 2370 on stock volts with the stock cooler. As mentioned in the guide the temp should be kept below 55c but as i up the voltage the temp begin to hover around 49-50c. I am waiting for my TT BT to arive but read someplace that if i reduce the multiplier to say 8-9x i'll generate less heat.Is that true?

Also what i wanted to know is that suppose i get it prime stable at 270HTT at say 8x will it be stable at 10x also. That is after i get my cooling can i directly up the multiplier to 10x and expect 8hr prime stability?

Also i have an option to modify the LDT voltage and NB voltage in my bios. I was wondering what these are and how will it help by changing them?

Thanks in advance:)

Right well NB voltage is the chipset voltage and LDT voltage is the voltage for the HTT of the chips (set at 1000). I tend to up those a bit as I get a higher OC.

You should run the the chip as high as you think it can go before assuming it will dop a certain speed of FSB (HTT as you call it). 270 is decent but you need to make sure that the chip can do n270 x 10 first. No doubt you'll have to add a fair amount more volts.

Temps should be below 55*C at all times really.

Wait for the TT BT to come before trying to go above 2350 if i were you.
