I have problem with OCing on my Asus Sabertooth Mobo.

My spec:

i7920 D0

Asus Sabertooth X58

3x2GB Corsair Dominator 1600 MHz c8

Enermax rev 1250W

2x460 GTX

I'm having BSOD with 0x000000A - I had it twice during gaming.

I know that could be everything, but I recon it is problem with my OC.

My settings are:

20x191 - turbo OFF (3800 MHz)

HT OFF

LLC - ON

RAM 1523 MHz (2:8) 8-8-8-24-88-2T

UCLK 3047

vcore 1.23v

QPI/DRAM 1.3v

RAM 1.65v

IOH -auto

ICH -auto

Intel SpeedStep - OFF

Temps are not a problem as my CPU i under water.

What I'm doing wrong?

vcore might need more and so might the qpi dude.

You CPU might need anything up to 1.4v for 200x20 with the mem at 1600 the QPI might need anything up to 1.45v

Just remember to always look for the lowest volts for stability not just wang it up and leave it.

also you dont need HT off for clocks this low tbh.

Yes HT is off mate.

When setting QPI at 1.35v it showing me red color, but I will try.On my EVGA X58 LE board QPI was fine at 1.25V - but may be Asus need more.

I set it up vcore at 1.24v now and QPI at 1.325v - I will see what hapen.

Should I touch ICH or IOH voltage at all?

You dont need HT off matey.

Dont worry about the red.

Vcore is probably your issue and the ICH can be put up a few notches

But HT give me nothing I think - I have try gaming and benchmarking with and without HT - no difference.

When I rise ICH, temps of my NB going high up to 80C in LOAD - I think it is too high, and all this with 40mm fan on the NB heatsink.

Not sure about vcore - before on my EVGA Board 1.23v was enought for 4 GHz without HT (was fien for over 1 year), but anyway it start crashing last times (when I put GTX 480 and thaen 2x460) - strange , isin't it?

Now what I have done is: rise vcore to 1.24v, QPI 1.325v and xtreme phase ON - passed 3h of LinX with using all RAM.

Ok guys another BSOD and I'm not sure it is problem with my OC.

BSOD error: 0x00000135 , there is no point to rise voltage all the time its crashing, as it works fine with much lower ones before.

What is going on, anyone had/seen this BSOD?When gooled it is not so much about it.

Just check what the temperatures of the CPU is. If you are testing with LinX (love it myself), make sure you are testing with the maximum amount of RAM and most threads (8 if HT is on). The northbridge on the other hand is ridiculously hot. Check the cooling on it.

LinX always with all memory mate - and it passing it fine for 50 times ¬ 3 H,

NB temps are oknow as I have added 60 mm fan against NB heatsink - max I'm getting now is 64 C,

CPU is fine as is under water and max 65 C.

I'm having problems with BSOD in games only.

Any ideas?

Now I'm running without any OC - I will see what hapen.

RAM 1.66v

IOH -auto

ICH -auto

HT OFF

LLC - ON

Intel SpeedStep - OFF

Extreme Phase ON

QPI - as far I know is VTT so rising it more than 1.325v is pointless

My CPU was able to do 4 GHz with HT OFF on my old EVGA at settings like this:

21x191 - turbo ON(4000 MHz)

vcore 1.223v

RAM 1578 MHz (2:8) 8-8-8-24-88-1T - not sure about RAM but close to that.

UCLK 3156

QPI/DRAM 1.25v

RAM 1.64v

IOH -auto

ICH -auto

HT OFF

Intel SpeedStep - OFF

Rock stable.

On the Asus the QPI is the qpi/dram on the evga.

Id set the QPI on the saber to 1.4

Also go into BIOS and find the tRTP memory setting (probably be 4) set this to 8 and report back.
