Nvidia's Volta architecture is now rumoured to release in Q3 2017

So that's reveal Volta architecture in Q3 2017, Q4 maybe HED then Q1 2018 for GTX(for us) cards.

I see them using HBM2 like they did with the Pascal ones that did, only for HED. And with GDDR6 on the way for 2018, that makes sense for them to release GTX in 2018 when GDDR6 releases aswell.

Got to wonder with Intel and Nvidia bring stuff out early, do they know something AMD are doing we don't, or is this just paper releases to get people to wait?

Just probably to build hype and take some attention from AMD. AMD have gained the most attention in this industry in forever and have held it for months and months. I'm sure they are just jealous:p
Or unless Vega is supposed to be so amazing and Nvidia know it. And Ryzen 3 is going to mop the floor of i3s. I could see the latter, theformer with Vega is a harder to see

What is Volta now again?... Is it the next gen cards from Nvidia? Like Maxwell - Pascal? And is it this new green team going up against the red team with Vega? Or have I missed something here?...

I believe Volta is vs Vega plus 1, so Pascal is competing with Vega and Volta is competing with what AMD brings out AFTER Volta.
Too many V's! Though i might be wrong with what i just stated above.

Yeah, it does sounds like it could be something... Although, I do agree, too many V's and certainly a mouthfull ^_^

You're gonna get that one? Wow dude. Try waiting for the Titan X-vwtfX. That's the one to go for.

You know nothing John Sn... Get the Titan X-vwtfXV2 which will also be named Titan X-vwtfX and will come soon after.

Unlike AMD where people are left waiting and wondering when will any kind of Vega arrive, Nvidia just roll out sku after sku with iterations galore.

And the beauty of it is that no matter how Nvidia do it, with the exception of the Titan Z, their cards sell like hotcakes.
