Nvidia's RTX Super Pricing Leaks - Some Older RTX cards are EOL?

Personally I don't think the 50$ bump on the 2060 Super will play out too well for them, the 5700XT is a 2560core/256-bit/8GB config card just like the RTX2070 Super, while the 5700 is a 2304c/256b/8GB card just like the RTX2070, probably with similar clock speed differences, so the performance drop between AMDs $449 and $379 cards is going to be directly comparable to the drop between the 2070Super and 2070.
From the sounds of it, 2070Super will have a slight performance advantage and a feature set advantage(Albeit one not all would make much use of atm) but a big price premium over 5700XT, while the 2060Super seems like it's going to fall a little short of the 5700 or get very tangled with it but for a much smaller price premium. Personally I think discount EOL 2070's would probably end up being the most closely matched competitor for the 5700XT in price/perf.

I think the best placed pricing for Nvidia they had were the 700 series GPUs. At least then, I thought it was good Price v Perf. After that it went out of control.

Agreed, I splashed out for a 780 classified and remember thinking it was quite a wad of cash for a card. Nowadays prices have gotten insane

I'm trying to figure out what a good upgrade path is for a 1080 for 1440p gaming and I don't really think there's a good one that doesn't involve selling both kidneys to buy it in the first place

Eh it's the bare minimum rather than adequate. 60fps usually but not much more if running max settings. Older games sure it's fine but the newer stuff it's alright. I'd rather have a 1080ti for the extra frames but too much money.

Hopefully by next year I'll be upgrading my monitor to 3440x1440p @ 144hz so I want a card to drive it well, im using a Asus 27 1440p but it's dying
