I got my RTX 3080 FE from Scan (UK's NVIDIA partner for the 3000 series) for £649 (which was the RRP).

The RTX 4080 is absurdly priced.

Second hand market is full of RTX 30XX for 2/3 or even 1/2 of original MSRP. Great value for money. Miners are selling 30XX like crazy.

I wouldn't say so, because right now, many people simply CAN'T pay those amounts of money. Inflation is hitting everyone and while everything gets more and more expensive, you can bet on one thing: Salaries won't rise.
