Nvidia's RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti 16GB will not have Founders Edition models

Doesn't this mean that the $100 premium for the 8GB of additional VRAM will actually cost more? If the 4060 Ti 16GB is $500, AIB partner variants will likely be $520-550.

Or maybe the reason there's no Founders Edition is because they never planned for it. They just expected everyone would be happy with a $400 8GB GPU 6-7 years after we had $250 8GB GPUs.

I think it is a combination of both. Firstly, no they never planned on it, but then gave the AIBs the go ahead to do it.

Like, years ago AIBs used to put extra VRAM on cards and Nvidia would get really angry. So I suppose they have finally allowed it.

Now, whether AIBs will charge the full extra $100 remains a mystery. TBH? they will be totally stupid if they do. However, Nvidia will make bank either way, because I 100% bet right now that they force the AIBs to buy them in kits from them. IE? "You wanna make a 16gb card? you have to buy the dies AND VRAM from us and us only.

And Nvidia mark absolutely everything up.

Yeah, seems logical...

...from Nvidia's point of view. :D

street price of the 4070TI in germany is 870-1000 euro.

if nvidia wants 499$ for the 4060TI 16G it will be sold for 560 euro... minimum.

good luck with that nvidia. way over 500 euro for a 60 class card.. lol.

if i was a gamer and buying in this price range i would buy a console and say fOck you to PC gaming.

So far all of the Nvidia 4000 series cards have proven to be an unqualified success. It doesn't matter which card you go for, you'll be getting the kind of performance, in every title, that will leave you grinning.

Clearly if you're looking to start your Gaming PC owning journey and want to do so without getting on your knees in front of your bank manager, then the RTX 4060 Ti is a great starting place.

this sugar-coating makes me sick...

honestly when 80% of the possible buyers thing something sucks, no reviewer can tell them that´s "a great starting point" and be taken seriously.

it may is the starting point that sucks the least.. but it sure is not great.

i normaly don´t even read the reviews here anymore because tom seems to be a bit out of touch when it comes to price vs. value.

The RTX 4060 Ti is still good

is it.. in 2023?

they could have release an overclocked 3060TI and nobody would notice a difference.
