Nvidia's RTX 2060 12GB refresh is reportedly SUPER

tbh i don't feel these will even be at a good price not in this climate.

Of course they won't be. They wouldn't bother otherwise.

If these are Turing, which I assume they are, then they are just about getting more cards out there at the stupid prices they are selling for ATM.

Really wouldn't suprise me to see £450+AIB's and then higher on scalping but hey Christmas is right around the corner merry christmas of course they will be £299 direct from Nvidia and they will sell 100 in seconds and be done :p

If it beats my 1080 I'll probably get it.

It would probably be a stupid thing to do! The reason I didn't upgrade my card yet is because any card in the market that is marginally better than my GTX 1050 Ti is costing triple what I paid for mine... While used variants of the 1050Ti are costing almost double what I paid for it NEW.

Soo, even if the 2060 12GB beats the 1080, I'd say it will be for a very slim margin and then you would be paying more than what you paid for your GTX 1080 many years beforce for what? 8% better peformance? Is it really worht it? Because remember the original 2060 and 2060 supers weren't even good at raytracing at their time, now with 30 series out, I don't think anyone will be getting this card for it's RTX prowess.

I AM in dire need of a new GPU... the GTX 1050Ti was supposed to be just a stopgap because my 970 blew itself, I really regret the day I decided to wait for 30 series... Now I'm stuck with an OLED TV and no GPU capable of playing 4k games on it... I just refuse myself to pay the same price I paid on the TV for a GPU that will be less than I expect for that price, Thats IF I can find one...

Given it will perform around the same as the 3060 you can expect the same price. So £450 RRP, £600 actual price.

I would guess they are doing it, literally, for more over priced stock. As they don't have enough to satisfy their own greed.

All whilst telling us they're doing us a favour as per the norm.
