That's quite intresting, concidering that nvidia have been shouting about reduced power consumption with there GPU'S

Wait, people didn't know this is a thing? Its always been an issue for as long as I can remember.
I can't run my 144hz monitor at 144hz because the gpu has to go into 3D clocks (or a very low version of it) to support the increased pixel clock (IIRC). If you bump it down to 120hz you're fine. -edit- unless you're running something like a GTX 480, which goes into 3d clocks at 75hz+

Off the top of my head my gpu will run at 720mhz@144hz (meaning 50c idle) whereas it'll go all the way down to 30mhz/idle@120hz

And I don't run gysnc/any kind of sync.

I'm sure the Nvidiots didn't know it was a thing:p
but yeah it has been this way for a while. It's just new testing from a large PC site so now it's just making headlines

Well wouldn't need to call em that if they weren't single minded;)
I didn't call anyone that here anyways^_^

You are probably the biggest single minded fanboy here. So watch your mouth.

Debate fine. Discuss fine. Most of the time you are so far out of line and Ive had enough of it.

Grow the fudge up.

Once AMD comes out with a CPU that is on par with the intel one then i will swap back to AMD until then i will stay with intel.

Staying with Intel for a long time then ;)

I'd have an AMD CPU or GPU even if they were worse, they just need some board partners with real prowess and integrity.

The MSI 390X Gaming was the best AMD card Ive seen in a LONG time.

From an engineering or design standpoint it was night and day better than any of the other brands... Pity it came so late tbh

I know the review was good for it but i still like my Sapphire 390 more so.

And this is newsworthy?

Must be a slow day......

I stopped caring about green vs red for many years now,I can see the decision was the correct one.
Secretly I love me some AMD goodness, mainly for the better IQ over FPS.

Gotta love me a bit of irony on the Tuesday morning :)

it's not irony? It's the same thing with AMD cards. It's been known for quite some time. If anything it's most surprising Nvidia do slightly worse considering how much less power they draw. I would have figured AMD do worse as they have been in power consumption.

I'm not a fanboy. I know Nvidia has the fastest cards being the TX and the 980ti edging out the FuryX most of the time. It was just a little joke hence the ;). If i was a true AMD fanboy I'd be recommending AMD cpus. I don't ever recall ever recommending any CPU outside some of the APUs way back when.
