In other words we don't have enough stock and expect massive scalping and we are putting out this information ahead of time so people think there's stock and get mad at scalpers instead of our OEM partners.

Do you reckon this launch was rushed to put a damper in AMD's plans? The 4090 stock at launch was quite good IIRC. They had loads of 4080's as well... but of course no one wanted those.

Honestly no idea. It's probable they are trying to beat AMD. They don't need to they inherently are in position to do so. Really just keeping their foot on the gas.
