Chicago (IL) - Nvidia will launch its Quad-SLI technology, which will enable to run four GeForce graphics chips in one computer system, on 22 March, TG Daily has learned. Quad-SLI will be launched with 7900 GTX graphics chips, which will be announced on 9 March, sources indicated.

Unfortunately the article confirms this technology won't hit the retail market and will only be available for purchase on new PC's. I guess that's a good thing for some of us, means we don't have to dig out our wallets and drop $2k on a new gfx system :)

I guess on the downside some of our 1337 rigs won,t even be able to compete with off-he-shelf computers in 3d benches. Kinda saddening really. Guess we'll just have to put our vid cards under phase and compete with uber-high clocks!

@wc: stuff like that deserves new postage for discussion as to not take another thread off-topic. :)

we can spend less and get better scores :P

overclock the kit u got it will go higher :P

stock sucks

and aint it only dell making them atm which means a single will get higher scores cos dell mobo bios sucks

I imagine 4 x 7900GTX's at any speed will rape pretty damn hard regardless of mobo, bios, or manufacturer.

yes yes and 4 x G80 would just be not reality, 4 cores    :dribble: :dribble:

2x current high end cards max out your processor. Without insanely better processors, or 4.5ghz fx-57's 2 more cards won't help and will probably be worse since heat.
