Nvidia shows its RTX 3080 running DOOM Eternal running at 4K - Big Performance Boost

Kind of hard to compare the performance and make a decision based of a test ran with different drivers and different versions of Vulkan.

Who know's what improvements would be seen to the frame rate if the same drivers and vulkan version were used on the 2080Ti.

Whilst I do not doubt for 1 second that the 3080 is faster, I cannot trust those numbers after seeing the different drivers and vulkan version.

Meanwhile at 1440p....

TBH and until I can see a more comprehensive list of tested game from independent sources, this 3080 is starting to look like 'too much graphics card' and a lot of ppl are in danger of overbuying. Is there such a thing.:eek:

Just a quick heads up here for those of us looking a putting a waterblock on their 30 series card when they become available the only reference ones on EK's compatability list is the Asus TUF atm.

They will update the list when other PCBs are confirmed.

Yeah I saw that.

Now, since many of us are very eager to get our hands on our first RTX 30 Series, and add it to our liquid cooling loops, EK® is advising everyone to hold off their purchase until the compatibility list is fully confirmed.

I dont think Nvidia would like them writing this on their page ;)

I really like the channel design on their 30x blocks though. Its got that symmetrical feel to it, even though its not quite the same.
