This will get the professional benchers flapping lol.
I can imagine them going though hundreds of boxes of new 5090s to find one with the extra ROPs.
We also need to spare a thought for some poor individual at NVidia who will probably get the sack for doing the unthinkable -
Giving customers better value for money lol.

Thanks for pointing that out.
On a more serious note, in the past there have been cases of GPUs having parts of their die still enabled where the Company has not bothered or forgot to disable them.
What is a lot more difficult to explain is why does a GPU like the 5090 have missing ROPs on some of them.
Did someone at Nvidia take a shortcut and think that no one would notice them using substandard chips?
