Nvidia reveal their €399 PC Gaming Revival Kit

They're also doing a monthly sub thing. They're calling it Geforce Elite, and it is to cost $10 per month. You get free games of their choice every quarter from their list of games etc.

Aye, that seems to be in the works ATM, though I really don't know how PC gamers will react to a PS+ or XBL style subscription service.

I have no issue with this or the monthly sub, I think the monthly sub thing might be a good thing and some if not a lot people will like it.

Depends if the games are decent. If it's a choice thing with no contract I will just hop on and off when games I like come up, unless you can't play them if you stop your sub.

There's bound to be a catch tbh.

What a bizarre concept. Surely only aimed at people that find it stressful not knowing which PSU to get with their GPU..

There's also the humble bundle monthly sub that seems fairly decent.

really all this gives you is a gpu, if your motherboard can take that then chances are you already have a good enough psu, the ssd is not essential for gaming, so spend the money on a better GPU

Certainly if you know what you're doing, so it's not particularly targeted at people that use this forum - this would be great for upgrading old workstations though. I've done the whole 'I need a new GPU I'll buy this one but now I'll need a better PSU as well' routine a couple of times. A 300w OEM PSU doesn't get you far.

An SSD is always a good option as well if you have a basic desktop.

It's really targeted at people with off the shelf basic desktops that want to play modern games at decent framerates at 1080p. Everything you need in a box. Much like water cooling kits it's a great introduction.

Screw the monthly sub. $120 a year for 4 free games of which you have no clue are? Not worth it.

This kit though is useless imo for anyone serious about PC gaming. But for a newbie I see it's place. I'd rather spend my money on a RX480 than a 1060 3GB though.

It's four games per quarter from what I have seen.

Don't think they would've thought of that before hand? To prevent people from "exploiting" this basically?...

Then they can have a pineapple to the rectum sideways.

Also dude, please don't half quote or half highlight what I said.

You seemed to have missed that part and became patronising.
