If the game ran at 60fps on an RTX 3050 and then got a 2x performance increase from DLSS3.5 or ran at 100FPS on a 4060 and then got a 4.7x performance increase with DLSS 3.5 I'd be impressed. Plus it would justify recent 500hz monitor launches.

Right now Im just thinking I will probably only bother with this game 10 years from now, and feeling disappointed because Control ran great for what it was but this just seems like they didn't care at all.

I don't see the issue with doing that. Alan Wake is not the type of game you have to play straight away. Yeah, if you were a huge fan of the original and wanted to know the story, sure, but it's not exactly a new Battlefield game where you want to progress at the same rate as everyone else and be a part of the huge community. I've played games six years after they were released and had the best time ever. If the studio suffers as a result of their decisions to 'unoptimise' their game, they'll learn by feeling their pocket bulge shrink because of weak sales.

Well it's been tested on a bunch of cards if your card is in the last 2 gens your be able to play it fine and tbh low settings is like console quality so imho nbd at all, its a current gen game not a last gen game.
