Gimpidia was shouting so much about their power eficiency...and after so many months they are aware of this issue with high refresh rate monitors hehe

If you have something to say, maybe you could try in a civilised way. No one will take you serious if you keep acting like a child, in fact, trolling is a quick fire way of annoying everyone.

As for power efficiency, Nvidia are still power efficient where they need to be. The fact that this issue has been raised and they are going to fix it, clearly shows a good company.

No i am not trying to troll..i like to call them Gimpidia ;):)

have a nice day :)

Id love to lock you and neverbackdown in a room and film it.

Would be amazing.

Haven't even bashed Nvidia in a while— a long while at that. You're the one who keeps brining it up tbh. Either way all his bashing of Nvidia makes no sense to me. Can't even understand what he's saying.

I can't remember if it was techpowerup or wccftech but there was an article saying it couldn't be fixed with a driver issue. Looks like they were wrong, so probably was Wccftech:p

I am a little interested in how a driver fix can fix power draw. You would think it was hardware related than software, but lets see what Nvidia can do.

I don't see the point in bashing a brand, even during the thermaltake witch hunt. But i will admit, that I haven't seen NBD hating on Nvidia. Maybe he needs to let it all out because bottling it all up isnt healthy :p

I thought it was more along the lines of the DP controller requiring some more bandwidth or something of the sort so the core clock boosted some to give it what it needed. It could just be that and the drivers ended up giving to much power so the clocks were raised higher and the new driver is aimed at lowering the clock speed. Seems logical but I'm not part of the driver team so I have no idea:p

I'm not holding anything in but just to make my final statement on Nvidia and to settle it so it doesn't keep coming back up, I don't mind there cards as they are technologically great pieces of engineering, it's just the company I don't like. I've said that before at least twice, but i'll say it again so everyone knows I'm done with all of it. Doesn't mean I won't bash them in the future if they really mess up, but doesn't mean I won't point out AMDs faults either. AMD certainly have more faults which is reflected in there market share, can't deny that. Now what I won't do for any company which Stalker is doing is just trolling everything about Nvidia. I think he enjoys all the attention...

To an extent, doesnt really bother me anyways. After a while building systems I dont even bother to look at the power consumption anymore unless I have a reason to. Dont even want to know how much power my system drains under full load with my OC applied.

Well I'm assuming you have a 144hz monitor(I don't really know:p) so it's not as bad since it really only happens at 165hz so ya it wouldn't really bother me either.

What about the higher powerdraw when using 3 monitors?

I'm running 4 (3+1) and Nvidia - what should I be looking out for? Pulling too much from the wall or is it in the GPU itself?

*edit - I've noticed the old girls get hot (70-80 max) when playing games but recently saw that they're sitting around 40-50 on idle as well with zero fan mode enabled. (Air cooled SLI rig in a warm Australian room so not that bad)
