Nvidia iCafe 340.72 WHQL Driver

This is the latest pre US and EU release, China are usually the first ones to get the newest driver branch as they have a huge cyber cafe industry hence the need for more stable drivers that offer better performance at faster release intervals.


I've tested it and it includes the previous release fixes i.e valley flickering etc... and all round performance is solid, As of right now there are no release notes but from testing and testing by others there is a 5% performance increase in the newly released Metro Redux games.


This release also includes the newest Physx driver 9.14.0702


Installation instructions

Once you have downloaded the driver you want to use an extraction program such as WinRAR to extract these to a folder for easy installation.

You can install the driver the standard way but I highly recommend this way for ease of use as you will need some of the files inside the driver package later on during the install process.

I have made a little video showing this simple procedure including installation of this driver without any hiccups on Windows 7 -



*Set the quality to 1080P*





As you see in the video please do not install the included HD Audio, 3DVision or GeForce Experience on the initial installation, The included GeForce Experience driver is for Chinese territories only and will not work on US or EU machines, I have included a download link for the latest EU/US version below.

The 3DVision driver should also be installed afterwards if you need it from within the extracted folder after you have installed the main driver, For some unknown reason installing it along with the main driver causes issues and an installation failure.

Installation Note For Windows 8/8.1 Users

If you are installing this on Windows 8/8.1 please remember to disable driver signing, As this is from another territory Windows will not recognize the driver signature otherwise.

Follow the steps in this video below to disable driver signing on windows 8/8.1 before installing the driver -

for me the download completes, but setup fails on extraction saying

Error during Execution ".\\setup.exe".
The system can not find the specified file

Will pull out the setup.exe out of a previous version to get the thing to co-operate if I can.

Strangely, it installs when run from the extraction directory.

It looses 3D Vision driver, and Geforce Experience when installing, but it will manually install.

Update:

If anyone is wondering about a change log from the testing done and testing by others there seems to be a 5% performance increase over the latest WHQL's in the Metro Redux games.
